I'm trying to setup a specific ringtone of my own for text messages only. I saved it to SD card but whenever I set the beep to ringtone the mytouch recognizes it under regular phone ringtones. Any help is appreciated.

Go to the market and download app called 'ringdroid'.
or we can go the long way by editing your memory card, but lets keep it simply  Grin.

iam trying to set my own ringtone for my tex  messages and it will only set the one on the phone i want to use my owm

Remember, Put some cool music and sounds on it so that you have great material to choose from when choosing your ringtones.Make sure you have Installer installed on your memory card. If you don't have it already, look online for Installer.app, and download and install the latest version. When you are certain Installer is properly installed, launch it, and find SendSong among its available applications. Select SendSong, touch "install," and let it do its thing.When you're sure SendSong has been properly installed, launch the application and look at your screen.
