Hi everybody

I bought the Mytouch 1.2 about a week ago and I also have the Behold II rooted running Galaxy ROM so I'm not new to the Android experience. I post frequently on the Android Forums, but their MyTouch section is rather lacking and doesn't have that much traffic.

I haven't rooted the 1.2 yet but I was wondering if anyone else had and what their experiences are?

What's up Jay, welcome to the forum! I have the orig mt3g and I have mine rooted and running kingklick's 2.1 eclair rom, fast and stable. rooting is a must for the mt3g to really enjoy it. do u know if it's 32B or 32A based phone, to find out just hold vol down button and and power/end key and it'll take u to the fast boot screen and it'll tell you here.

Also the oneclick method may work as well. Checkout the unlockr.com & xda developers.
