Hi, just downloded woods 09 OTA and its playing in smaller resolution, thoughts on how to sort?

its currently about 2/3rds size and in the top left of the screen.

I recently got Tiger Woods 09. Great game!

Unfortunately i get a "bad connection" error when specifically trying to play online against my friends.

My Ps3 connection is wired to my router and i have no problem in signing in and the best of all is, I can play against everyone else across the world online, but as soon as I try to create a match between a friend and myself, I get this error. We both tried joining another game that are being hosted by someone else and got the same problem.
Separately we can play online without any problems.
Maybe do I need to open up specific ports on the router?
My friend is in the UK, with o2 as his service provider. I know they have fast internet connections, and I unfortunately only have a 384kb connection. This is the only thing I can think of that might be an issue.
Although we did play Resistance Fall of Man and Motor storm against each other without any hassles.
